Rensselaer Owen (“Ren”) Broekhuizen graduated from Calvin College, Westminster Theological Seminary, and Calvin Theological Seminary. Ren Broekhuizen served congregations of the Christian Reformed Church in the United States in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, as well as serving as a world missionary in Liberia, West Africa. In 1993 Ren Broekhuizen was part of a group founding the Ridge Point Community Church in Holland, Michigan, a ministry that exists intentionally to bring lost persons to full life in Christ. He retired from the active congregational ministry in 2003.
